03 Jun West Palm Beach restaurant looking to hire 200 employees this weekend

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A West Palm Beach restaurant set to open July 1 is hosting a job fair at its downtown location this Saturday.

El Camino West Palm Beach is looking to fill 200 positions before its opening.

The restaurant is hosting a job fair at its location on Saturday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The restaurant is located at 700 S Rosemary Avenue, Suite 232 in West Palm Beach.

The restaurant has locations in Delray Beach and Fort Lauderdale as well.

Management says they’re confident they’ll be able to fill the 200 positions, because they say it’s become easier to find new employees compared to how challenging it was to find new staff members during the pandemic.

“We’ve got a lot of people out of the northwest, and we have people working in our restaurants from (the Carolinas), Maine, New York and it seems like the hospitality pool is growing here from other markets and that’s been one of the things we’ve noticed, is that there’s been an upward trend of people relocating to South Florida,” said Francis Lake, the vice president of operations for Modern Restaurant Group.

The company says they are ready to train some employees with less experience in new skillsets as well.
